The Badger Meter ModMAG M3000 features an FM (Factory Mutual) certificate of conformity for installation in hazardous areas, the approval required by the oil and gas industry for instrumentation in zones with flammable atmospheres. This is a certificate issued by an internationally recognized body?not a manufacturer's declaration?and is delivered as a downloadable document to be submitted in tenders and audits.
The device measures with an accuracy of ?0.20% of the reading and a 300:1 turndown ratio, covering diameters from 6 to 600 mm and temperatures up to 120 ?C. Having no moving parts in contact with the fluid, the measurement is virtually unaffected by variations in density, pressure, temperature, or viscosity?a decisive factor in operations where process conditions constantly change. It also generates no pressure drop, and its corrosion-resistant liners extend service life in aggressive applications. It supports an 85 to 240 V AC or 24 V DC power supply, Modbus communication, and compact or remote mounting.
It is designed for the upstream and midstream operations that characterize unconventional activity in Vaca Muerta: well testing, hydraulic fracturing, enhanced oil recovery, separation, custody transfer, and flowback water control. It is also applied in refining, chemical, and petrochemical industries for process control and mass balance, as well as in industrial effluent monitoring under strict regulatory requirements.
